Nancy Beal focuses on capturing the dazzle of a summer day in large plein air paintings. Lush foreground gardens are set in spacious landscapes. The gesture of brushstroke, abundant light and celebration of nature combine in dynamic balance.

Beal has had 14 one person shows, 7 in NYC. She has helped to found two galleries and has received residencies at Yaddo, VCCA, Millay Colony, Palisades Park, Cornwall (England), and Farrera (Spain).
