Blue Mountain Gallery, located in the heart of New York City’s Chelsea District, invited emerging, mid-career and established artists to submit work for its 9th Juried Exhibition. Critic and art historian Martica Sawin was the juror for its 2020 Summer Juried Exhibition.

We held out hope that the selected work would be exhibited at our 25th Street location, but are now joining other galleries and museums in the move to widely shared online exhibitions during the time of the limitations due to the pandemic. Communal engagement with art is crucial in these challenging times and we hope that the online exhibition will contribute the sharing of creativity and accomplishment.

We are excited to announce that this year’s exhibition will be accompanied by an illustrated online catalogue with an essay written by our juror, Martica Sawin, a prestigious American art critic and art historian.  The exhibit will be displayed in a virtual gallery space, on the BMG website, on the BMG Facebook page, and BMG ARTSY page.  All paintings will still be offered for sale. The show will be featured during the scheduled time of July 7-25, and will remain part of the archive of exhibitions on our website.
