Robert Alberetti‘s recent works explore the elemental forms of nature. Whether traveling on the rivers in Europe or working at home in Connecticut with preliminary sketches and watercolors, he seeks expressions of mass and form, light and dark. His abstract paintings are sometimes active, physical and intense, sometimes mellow and serene, and always eloquent.
The exhibition is accompanied by a color catalog with an essay by Marjorie Portnow.

Intangibles Made Tangible Nov 29 – Dec 24, 2016
Drawing upon his travels through Ireland, Morocco, Italy, Turkey, Spain and New England, Robert Alberetti’s oil paintings bring to life remembered images coupled with imagination -intangibles made tangible. A moment of reflection evokes an instance of explosive abstract forms. Color and texture allow the medium to express emotions as well as a feeling of place.
